Welcome to the Workspaces documentation!
Workspaces is the processing half of the archive (the other half being storage). Workspaces is used for various things:
Providing science-ready data products (SRDP)
Performing automatic calibration and imaging on new data
Quality assurance for results of automatic processing
What is needed to accomplish the above list of things? Several things:
A way to execute long-running jobs against various clusters and keep track of their state
A way to examine the results of these jobs, and possibly tweak and re-execute them
A way to approve of the results and keep track of quality assurance status
A way to react to new observations by scheduling jobs
